That Yellow Dock Solution

That Yellow Dock Solution

Yellow Dock or Curly dock, whose scientific name is Rumex crispus, is
a classic blood detoxyfier. It is an herb that can be used to cure skin
problems by helping the body rid itself of toxins and built up wastes.

Yellow Dock has narrow leaves, usually curly along the long edges, and
a deep yellow root when scraped. While it is indigenous to Britain, it can
be found in arable farmland, on roadsides and in ditches and waste
places throughout the world.

An infusion of Yellow Dock's root can also be used externally to relieve
itching and discomfort. It is also mildly laxative in small amounts while
purgative in large doses. With an increase in vegetable intake and water,
ingesting the root's extract usually takes care of the cause of the
problem rather than artificially stimulating the bowels.

Yellow Dock is used extensively in the treatment of skin problems such
as psoriasis. In addition, the plant's high iron content makes it a viable
solution to anemia. While a compress can be used to help soothe itchy
skin, an ointment is available to cure skin problems such as acne.
